Anything to make it through the day,
Drifting through life in a blurred gray.
All done in malice, hidden from sight,
I found the truth in the dead of night.
Now covers are blown and the truth is shown,
And they piss and moan over the phone.
Acting the victim, denying the deed,
While I was the only stable friend in their need.
Helpless, hopeless, and fueled by the rush,
Living in secrets they told me to hush.
I thought I was the "bad seed" in the flow,
But I’m just a witness to how low they can go.
I thought I was trouble, a soul in a bubble,
Until I saw them building their home in the rubble.
I’m thankful I saw the bottom of the show,
Because that was the day I learned how to say no.
